Lets face it the dinning room is least often used for dinning. Truth fully if you where going to name the room it would be, the home offices, homework, paying bills, coloring, or game room the list can go on. Oh and lets not forget the food fight room. Any one with small children knows this is what it looks like after meals. Dinning room is just a much easier name.
No matter how many uses your dining room truly has you always face the dilemma of keeping it up for thought surprise gusts (nagging mother in law, anyone?). Let not forget you may want a few family dinners

The dinning room table is the center of every day life. Be sure to protect the table. If you don’t care to show off the table, cover it first with a plastic cloth then add a cloth layer that would make dear mother in law feel you have great taste.
