You can use your living room in a number of ways. For some people this is the place where the whole family gathers and exchanges talk over a cup of coffee while others prefer to use it as a formal space only to be used when the guests arrive. It also serves as a common room for watching TV, doing home work, playing cards, video games or online sweepstakes or a cozy place to enjoy a drink and curl up with a story book.
If your living room décor is very formal and you use this room only to entertain your guests then this room should display the finest possessions you have. A touch of traditional décor can make this room look beautiful. Place a sofa in the center of the room. Hang some classical paintings on the wall. The end tables topped by lamps will enhance the charm of your room. Don’t forget the carpet which can ad an extra dimension to your classy living room. Softer lines and fewer rules will help to set up a pleasant and relaxing ambience.
Casual living rooms have a character of nonchalance. Stylish wrought iron or steel or leather furniture are combined with fashionable velvet or satin fabrics. However while decorating a living room people are governed by practicality. Since they can’t afford enough spare space in the living room, furniture should be chosen and placed in a manner to make the room look bigger and spacious.
Modern living rooms are less structured. A center table is needed for eating. Sofa or chairs should be placed in a manner so that your family members or guests can seat around the TV. You can also place an arm chair at one corner of the room where one can enjoy reading books.

When you are building a wardrobe there are many things to consider so you have everything you needed for the perfect style. Many of the things that you need to know include your body type, size, being realistic, and your best colors. These things will help you make good decisions on the type of clothing that you should wear.
Your body type is everything when it comes to purchasing clothing and building your wardrobe. You may love jeans but have all of the wrong pairs that don’t fit you right. When you choose clothing you have to build the wardrobe based on how thin or heavy you are, the length of your legs, the size of your bust, and much more. Many women with a really small bust wear tops that are designed for a larger breast size. This only looks silly and doesn’t fit right. Wear clothing that looks right with the type of body you have. Clothing needs to fit you right. This doesn’t mean tight but appropriately. If it is too baggy it may make you look larger than you already are.
Another consideration is being smart about the size. Just because your favorite clothing manufacturer makes an outfit in your size doesn’t meant that is right for your body and your size. You may even have coupons from them and want to spend them on one of their outfits. This would be a bad decision if you didn’t base your decision on the type of outfit. For example, if you are overweight and have a large stomach then you may not want to wear a pair of low rise jeans that hang below the hip bones. If you are really tall you won’t want to wear them either because they will make you look even taller. Short and thin women can get away with these types of jeans because they will add height that they need.
Colors need to be considered also when you are building your wardrobe. Most women assume that they can build a base of their wardrobe with black but instead black looks terrible on them. Make sure that the color looks good on you and that it is not too overpowering for your body type and style. You want to be noticed as fashionable but also for people to notice you. The best way to get started with a wardrobe base is to learn which colors are your best colors. This way you can buy a few pieces to build your wardrobe on. Don’t wear the same color everyday though.
There are many things that you need to consider when you are building a wardrobe. You have to be fashionable but the clothing you choose must match your body type and your style. Make sure that what you are wearing matches you and looks good on you. Never be afraid to ask in a store. However, always remember that many sales reps in a department store are making commission so they may tell you something looks good when it really doesn’t.

When you look into your closet, what do you see? Do you see hundreds of mismatched hangers and clothes that you don’t wear all crammed into one big ball of fashion no-no’s? It is time for a change. It’s time to buy yourself some high-quality matching wooden hangers and get to work on that closet. Here are some tips on updating your closet and your wardrobe.
Start with the basics. Empty your closet and throw away all of those mismatched hangers. Replace them with nice hangers that hang evenly spaced. This is an investment that you won’t regret. Every morning when you open your closet it should be neat and organized to put you in a good mood for the rest of the day. Put your shoes in order instead of in a mountain and get rid of ones that are uncomfortable or worn out. Use a shoe rack and get organized.
Get rid of clothes that are too small, have stains, are out of style or that you just never wear. If you haven’t worn it in a year, it goes. If you have something sentimental, like your wedding or prom dress, then put them into storage and get them out of your closet. Now it’s time to go shopping. Reward yourself for getting rid of the clutter by updating your wardrobe with functional basics that will stay in style for years to come.
Rule number one is to not buy anything that doesn’t fit perfectly. If you have to suck in to wear it, then you won’t. If you do, you risk popping out like a can of biscuits in public. Start with shirts that have flattering necklines. Square-cut, v-neck and round necklines never go out of style. High necklines can make your face look fatter and you chest look lower, so stay away from shirts that come up too high in the front. Even a slightly lower neckline can add femininity and style to the shirt.
Pants can be hard to fit, but once you find your brand and style, you will think that it was well worth the effort. Black slacks that move with you are a great basic to add to your wardrobe. Think simple lines and stay away from a lot of pockets that can add bulk. Jeans can be tiring to shop for, but with a little research before you shop, you can significantly cut down on the time it takes to find the right fit. There are web sites with virtual fitters to help you eliminate the brands that won’t fit you. Just input your jean complaints, such as gaping waist at the back, pinching waistbands, flat bottom, or body type and it will narrow down your search to just a few brands. When you find the perfect fit, buy a darker and a lighter pair to add to your basics.
When you’re done selecting a few tops and bottoms, you’re well on your way to building a great wardrobe. Add some button down blouses of solids or small print, along with a couple of solid skirts. A-line skirts are flattering on just about every body type. Don’t forget that little black dress that you can dress up with just a few accessories. The next time you think that you don’t have anything to wear, you can fall back on the classic basics that you have in your wardrobe.
